Inland Lakes

Here are some studies for a new series I'm working on.

The series working title is Inland Lakes.

I take a great pleasure in drawing comparisons
between the artificial and the real.

There is a sense of uncertainty in these photographs.

I want the view to imagine themselves within the

Landscape. Are they alien?

  1. Thankyou very much for your comment Mary, and for returning to my blog :)
thats very interesting that you like the images with the most simple forms.. with no distractions from the figure. i have always found myself more interested in the opposite, although i have more works planned along the lines of the ones you prefer.
I like the idea of the figure twisting like the tree :)

your Inland Lakes series are my favourite, especially the bottom two images. These two in particular as i feel like, when viewing them, you can most drastically switch between how you percieve the image in relation to scale. They can easily be seen as a grand lanscape view from above, and simultaneously as an intimate study.
Good luck with your work. I'll be checking back soon :)
